Malnutrition is one of the factors that contribute to the ease of which diseases can penetrate most human beings, that is why we encourage sustainable consumption and production of food, mostly in African perspective. Our dietary lifestyle has shifted, from a well-balanced diet, with lots of nutrients, to a more junk food which causes diseases such as diabetes. Panorama was equipped with a broad and vast knowledge of pulses, of which consists of beans, peas, and lentils, which are all part of the legume family. They now understand that Pulses have a nutrients and vitamins that are needed by our bodies to perform it functions. Pulses are superfood that have high calcium, zinc, and iron compared to animal-based food. Learners were so amazed to found out that all over the world there are more than 20 000 different pulses that they can consume, and the fact that it can save a lot of water, since South Africa is a water scarce country.
