Due to covid-19 restrictions, most of environmental programmes such as gardening in schools were putted on hold. That enabled weeds to grow in the school gardens and outcompeted our vege gardens. Most of the activities are now resuming which implies getting learners to part-take in growing their vegetables in their garden as part of their environmental programme. Nobanda rehabilitated their garden, with donation of winter seedlings from one of the stakeholders. They are ensuring that no weeds grow in their garden by mulching garden beds, to also ensure that moist remains in the soil.
